On Sunday, October 27, 49 candidates came to Christ’s Church Cathedral to be confirmed, received, or to reaffirm their faith.
Confirmation is a marker for one’s Christian journey. It is the rite by which a person affirms the faith into which they have been baptized and their intention to live a life of committed discipleship. As part of the liturgy, confirmands, express a mature commitment to Christ and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the bishop’s laying on of hands. As the candidates go out into the world, we invite your prayers; that they may be filled with the Spirit of our living God as they seek to serve God’s mission of love through their diverse vocations.
