Since 2022, Climate Justice Niagara has been recognizing the gardens that our parishes are carefully maintaining around the diocese. Certificates have been created and presented to over 20 parishes, and we know there are many more that we don’t know about.
Please contact Deirdre, Sue, or Bruce if you would like to tell us about your church garden. We are especially reaching out to those who have created rain, pollinator, or vegetable gardens. And there is a special certificate for a children’s garden.
Once we have learned about the hard work that gardeners have been doing at your parish, we will arrange for a member of Climate Justice Niagara to visit one Sunday to recognize and thank them.
Taking care of the earth and following the 5th Mark of Mission needs to be recognized, so please contact one of us so that we can start the process of acknowledging the amazing work that is carried out at your parish.
